Actinic Keratosis

Actinic Keratosis are small, scaly spots found on people with fair skin who have had significant exposure to the sun.

Without treatment, they may become cancerous. Actinic keratoses are easily removed in their early stages by freezing, the application of topical creams, or by other surgical and nonsurgical procedures.

Adults should regularly perform self-examinations to ensure early detection.
